Superchunk and Coliseum to release split 7-inch of Misfits covers
by Aubin Paul Merge 15 years ago

Pop-punk outfit Superchunk - who released the 12th best album of 2010 according to Punknews.org editors - will be teaming up with hardcore act Coliseum for a new split 7-inch made entirely of Misfits covers. The 7-inch, which will be jointly released by Merge Records and Temporary Residence will include one cover from each band with Superchunk providing a studio version of their (frequent live cover) "Horror Business" and Coliseum contributing "Bullet" which they previously recorded and released online. Both tracks are previously released online, but this will the first physical release of either cover.

The disc will be limited to 1,500 copies and available exclusively in record stores for Record Store Day.
